TRAVASI

The collaboration between the siblings Giulia and Matteo Mureddu (aka Mat Pogo ) dates back to 2002 and over the years has seen some crucial stages in which the two artists come together to confront each other, dialogue and solidify the traits of their work, founded on the ability to crumble history and personal schemes, bringing attention to the infinite declinations between body and sound. The Travasi project represents a new opportunity (in the fifth decade of their lives) to retrace and renew the founding themes of their work by immersing themselves in a game of questions and answers, instantaneous and pondered, that manipulate, fragment and stratify the sound and body elements in action. The detailed use, conscious and unconscious, of limbs, weight, space, voice and sound create an inexhaustible flow of resonances, convergences and divergences: each moment can reveal and open new creative spaces, between the tragic and the comic, the poetic and the raw, expressing, together or individually, an unexpected potential.

La collaborazione tra i fratelli Giulia e Matteo Mureddu (in arte Mat Pogo ) risale al lontano 2002 e nel corso degli anni vede alcune tappe cruciali in cui i due artisti si ritrovano per confrontarsi, dialogare e solidificare i tratti del loro operare, fondato sulla capacità di “sbriciolare” storia e schemi personali, portando l’attenzione alle infinite declinazioni tra corpo e suono.Travasi rappresenta una nuova occasione, nella 5° decade della loro vita, di ripercorrere e rinnovare le tematiche fondanti del loro lavoro calandosi in un gioco di domande e risposte, istantanee e ponderate, che manipolano, frammentano e stratificano gli elementi sonori e corporei in atto. L’uso dettagliato, conscio e inconscio, degli arti, del peso, dello spazio, della voce e del suono creano un flusso inesauribile di risonanze, convergenze e divergenze: ogni attimo può rivelare e aprire nuovi spazi creativi, tra il tragico e il comico, il poetico e il crudo, esprimendo, insieme o singolarmente, un potenziale inaspettato.
